Survey says: Resident satisfaction is good

The results of our resident satisfaction survey are in, and it’s good news! The responses show that our residents feel safe and secure in their homes; nursing staff are courteous, helpful and respectful of privacy; and our dining area is clean and neat.

The annual survey helps the Emporia Presbyterian Manor leadership gauge how well we are meeting our mission of providing quality senior services guided by Christian values.

“Our mission statement sums it up nicely,” said Executive Director Susan Siepelmeyer. “We try to make that part of our daily communication with our staff and department managers. We focus on making our care good every day, and when it isn’t up to expectations, looking at how to change that next time.”

Emporia Presbyterian Manor scored above average in all resident care levels and on our work attitude survey. Residents gave our staff high marks for maintaining a high quality of care and also commented that communication is good between Presbyterian Manor and their family and representatives. They find our community attractive and the environment caring and home-like environment.

Susan said she was pleased to see many residents from all levels of living participated in the survey. “We want to keep moving that number up because the broader spectrum you can give for resident preferences, the more it tells us about what we need to work on,” Susan said. “The best praise we can get is from our residents.”
