FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Find Out What You Need to Know

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions from those interested in our assisted living neighborhood. Read on to find out more about Emporia Presbyterian Manor. If there’s a question we haven’t answered here, contact us today.

  • When is the right time to move into an Assisted Living community?

When seniors reach the point where they need a little extra help with daily tasks, they sometimes wonder if they are ready for an assisted living community. Perhaps, the concern is costs, or the hassle of moving, or perhaps they associate assisted living with nursing homes. We know it can be a difficult, deeply personal decision, but we will say that an assisted living community is far from a nursing home. Our seniors maintain active social lives, and they set their own daily schedules. They live in private apartments but enjoy having a maintenance-free community and the little bit of extra help that comes with assisted living. We are here to support you while you live the way you want to live.

  • What are my Assisted Living options?

We offer beautiful studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments.

  • Do you have additional storage?

We do offer small storage areas, or we can direct you to convenient storage units nearby. In addition, we can provide expert assistance in rightsizing. A move of this kind usually requires anticipating future needs and making some tough decisions about furnishings and possessions. We can help you in planning. We will work with you personally to ensure the choices you make are right for you and consistent with the way you want live.

  • How do your fees work?

Monthly assisted living fees begin at $3,600 per month, based on floor plan. A second-person fee applies for double occupancy. Contact us to learn more and take the next step in your journey.

  • Will Medicare or Medicaid cover my stay?

Medicare only covers therapy services, not room and board for any level of care. Medicaid covers long-term care room and board expenses only. It does not cover room and board for independent living or assisted living.

  • Will Long-Term Care insurance cover my stay?

Some long-term care insurance policies cover assisted living. Reach out to your policy provider today to find out what your benefits may be applied to.

  • What types of security do you offer?

We have monitors on all entrances and exits. Independent living and assisted living entry is via a keycode.

  • Do you offer a meal plan?

Dining is an important component of our culture at Emporia Presbyterian Manor. We offer seasonal and always-available menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so you can choose what you’d like to eat. Three meals plus healthy snacks are included in your monthly fee.

  • What are my transportation options?

If you have been driving before you move into Emporia Presbyterian Manor, you may continue to drive. Carport parking is available. We also provide scheduled transportation.

  • What types of assistance do you provide?

We are here to help with most aspects of daily life. All meals are covered under the monthly fee, as are medication management, and a call system for immediate needs.

  • Are there activities to participate in?

Absolutely! We offer activities, a vibrant social life, cultural outings, shopping trips and more. Check out our programs or calendars to see some of what’s going on.
