Emporia Presbyterian Manor offers a dedicated memory care neighborhood, providing services and compassion for the ever-changing needs of seniors with Alzheimer’s Disease or other forms of dementia. We provide specialty programs designed to engage the mind and provide purpose, as well as plenty of social opportunities for residents and their loved ones.
Our parent company, Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, has long been a leader in memory care within the senior living industry, and we work hard to stay on the forefront—offering both our residents and their families peace of mind. In fact, what we hear most from families is that they were surprised to see how well their loved one adapted to life at Emporia Presbyterian Manor.
Memory Care at Emporia Presbyterian Manor recognizes that every resident is different. With 24-hour staffing and an individually tailored plan for care, we are able to focus on wellness in all its aspects.
In addition to engaging the mind with stimulating activities, our skilled staff is here to promote physical and emotional well-being, all in a comfortable, nurturing environment. While there is no cure for the memory loss that comes from Alzheimer’s Disease or dementia, our integrated approach to care can help our residents thrive.

If your loved one has a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or another form of dementia, he or she will benefit from placement in a memory care neighborhood. Consider memory care if you are experiencing caregiver fatigue, or if you're constantly worrying about your loved one's health and safety. When you are ready to give up the caregiver role, we can help you make the transition. Memory care neighborhoods are specifically designed to support the needs of individuals with cognitive impairments. Making the transition will become harder as the disease progresses and it's better to make the move while your loved one can participate in the decision, when possible. Consider joining a memory care neighborhood earlier which will provide your loved one with the necessary structure, mental stimulation, and social engagement. We have found that families are often surprised by how well their loved ones do once they move into the community.
Emporia Presbyterian Manor completed a $1.4 million renovation of the Jones Healthcare and Memory Care areas in 2023 and is the only community in Emporia offering memory care. We offer private and semi-private accommodations as well as 24/7 supervision from one of our team members. Emporia Presbyterian Manor memory care team members receive ongoing education and training with support from our parent company which stays on the forefront of care for people who live with dementia. In 2023, PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®) has committed to train staff in all of its communities in the Positive Approach to Care (PAC) method developed by renowned dementia expert Teepa Snow, to ensure specialized care for your loved one.
We are a flat rate community which means we don’t charge based on levels of care. Instead we have a set daily fee for each room type, private or semi-private.
