Saying farewell: Deb Thornton retires

Best wishes to Health Services Director Deb Thornton on her retirement!

Deb came to Emporia Presbyterian Manor in June 2014 from Newman Regional Health. Deb graduated from Newman Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1989 and went on to earn a bachelor of science in nursing from Tabor College.

“We are grateful for Deb’s three years of service as Health Services Director,” said Executive Director Susan Siepelmeier. “She has demonstrated a caring heart coupled with humor to provide quality health services in the Presbyterian Manor family.”

Marketing Director Crystal Stocksaid Deb could always be counted on to promote the Presbyterian Manors mission on a daily basis.“Deb has been a wonderful advocate for marketing, always willing to go above and beyond to value the residents’ choice and safety. She will be greatly missed,” Crystal said.

Deb has indicated she may still pop up from time to time to help with activities and events at Presbyterian Manor, Crystal said. She hopes to stay connected with our staff and residents as she enjoys life in retirement.
