Luminaria lighting ceremony to honor friends, family at Presbyterian Manor

Join us as we light our Christmas lights and luminarias in honor and in memory of friends and family as we kick off the Christmas season at Emporia Presbyterian Manor.

Luminarias will be offered for a donation of $25 at Emporia Presbyterian Manor beginning October 4. All proceeds will benefit the Good Samaritan Program, which provides support for residents who have outlived their financial resources through no fault of their own.

Luminarias must be purchased by November 26, Giving Tuesday. Contact Crystal Stock at 620-343-2613 or cstock@pmma.org for more information, or purchase luminarias at the front desk at the campus, 2300 Industrial Road.

Join us for dinner at 6 p.m. Enjoy beef stew and biscuits, followed by the lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. December 7.

The luminarias will be placed along the walking path around the pond on the campus. Walk through the luminaria around the walking path and come back inside to warm up with cookies and cocoa.

“We are excited to kick off the holiday season with this event,” said Susan Siepelmeier, executive director. “It’s a unique way to honor our residents and families and connect the Emporia community with our campus.”
