Gilger joins Emporia PMMA as new Home Health and Assisted Living Director

Lesley Gilger is the new home health and assisted living director for Emporia Presbyterian Manor.

“Lesley is a great addition to our nursing staff and brings a variety of experiences in nursing, hospice and education that will benefit not only our staff but our residents, too,” said Susan Siepelmeier, executive director of Emporia Presbyterian Manor.

Prior to joining PMMA, Gilger was an admission nurse/community liaison for Hand in Hand Hospice in Emporia for three years. She also worked on the medical/surgical/pediatric floor and in the ER at Newman Regional Health for five years and taught in the nursing program at Emporia State University for two years.

“Gerontology has always been my passion. I love working/interacting with residents, family members and other staff members and am very excited to be a part of this team,” Lesley said. “Emporia Presbyterian Manor has always felt very comfortable to me, so having the opportunity to be the assisted living/home health director is like coming home.”

Lesley received her BSN and RN from Emporia State University. She and her husband Eric have a daughter, Breanna, who is a nursing student at ESU and a son, Christopher, who will graduate from Emporia High School in a few weeks.
