Emporia resident Joan Butts is our featured artist for September. We will have some of her quilts on display through the month, capped off by a reception with Joan at 2 p.m. on Sept. 28.

Joan is a multi-award winning quilter; she took first place in the quilting category in our Art is Ageless competition this spring. Her daughter, Elaine Boese, is an accomplished quilter as well.
