Rightsizing your life: free workshop

Presbyterian Manor hosting free workshop

Does the thought of downsizing your belongings send chills down your spine? Wondering how to decide what furnishings and possessions you will need in the next season of life?

Learn the answers to these questions and more at a free event at Emporia Presbyterian Manor. Downsizing can create a mix of emotions. Simplifying your life should leave you overjoyed, not overwhelmed.

Emporia Presbyterian Manor will offer a free “Rightsizing Workshop” April 17 with Interior Designer and NIMBLE owner Hollie Blakeney, an Aging in Place Specialist and experienced space planner.

During this two-part workshop, Blakeney will lead participants in creating a home where you will love to relax and enjoy life. Learn how to rightsize based on your habits and live in a well-designed space and receive tools to help you apply your learnings in your home.

The “Rightsizing Workshop” will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Emporia Presbyterian Manor, 2300 Industrial Rd. A lunch will be served at noon, and the presentation will begin again following the meal with a deep-dive into the rightsizing process. You will gain valuable insight with practical solutions for de-cluttering, organizing and paring down the accumulation of life.

RSVP by April 9 to Marketing Director Crystal Stock at 620-343-2613 or cstock@pmma.org to reserve your meal.

Use our event page on Facebook to invite friends and help us spread the word.

The talk is part of Emporia Presbyterian Manor’s Just Ask series, a free, ongoing lifelong learning program featuring information from local and regional experts on topics of interest to older adults and their families.
