When you start wondering if it's time to downsize, or thinking about having fewer household chores, it may be time to consider an independent living community. The ideal time is before you need extra help but when you're ready to give up mowing the lawn, making house repairs, or cooking meals. You may want to get to know your neighbors, gain a sense of community, or desire to spend more time doing fun activities. When you want peace of mind for the future, while you're still active enough to enjoy the lifestyle benefits, you should consider moving into an independent living community. Make the choice yourself, not when someone has to make it for you. Residents in independent living have priority access to the continuum of care at Emporia Presbyterian Manor, so they can move into assisted living or long-term care as needs change.
Emporia Presbyterian Manor is the only Continuum of Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in town, giving independent living resident priority access to other levels of cart such as assisted living, healthcare, short-term rehab. We're also unique in that we are the only apartment complex where meals, activities, and housekeeping are included in the monthly fee. We also offer some a la cart home health and other optional services as well as access to nursing staff 24/7.

Our community offers two options. You can choose a plan with monthly accommodation fees and no up-front fees or non-refundable deposits. This plan simply requires a 30-day notice to vacate the apartment. Or, you can choose our 75/25 deposit for care plan in which you pay a deposit (cost depends on style of apartment) at the time of your move. It is designed to allow for 75% of this fee to be refunded to you or your estate when you leave the community and the residence becomes occupies. The 25% nonrefundable portion remains with the community to further its mission to provide quality services to residents. Contact Us for more information about the monthly accommodation fee plan, the 75/25 plan and to determine which suits your financial situation best.
